Nigeria’s Capital importation as at Q1 2019, stood at a total value of $8.48 billion dollars, representing a 216.03% point increase from $2.14 billion recorded in Q4 2018. Also, capital importation rose year-on-year by 34.61% when compared to the figure obtained in the corresponding quarter of 2018.

Portfolio Investment received the highest type of capital importation with $7.14 billion or 84.21%. This is followed by other investments with $1.096 billion or 12.91%, while Foreign Direct Investment received $243.36 million or 2.86% of the total capital importation received in Q1 2019.
