The value of total exports in Q4, 2018 increased by 3.52% against the level recorded in Q3, 2018 and 28.46% higher than its value in Q4, 2017. The value of total imports fell 14.99% in Q4 2018 compared to Q3 2018, but rose 69.6% over the corresponding quarter of 2017.
The structure of Nigeria's export trade, valued at N5,023.7 billion in Q4 2018, was dominated by crude oil exports, which contributed N4,228.9 billion or 84.2% to the value of total exports in Q4, 2018.
